The Impressions Sharing

So, what about 2 months I've spent in Europe? I can say... They weren't in vain!
Not taking into account that now I'm really trying to change my way of life (successfully), to give up a lot of harmful habits (successfully), I had a couple of weeks of amazing trip!
We visited such countries as Netherlands: Amsterdam (where I've already been before, but the repeated visit didn't spoil the impression), The Hague, Rotterdam and Belgium, which I even couldn't imagine can impress me so much! So: Brussels, Ghent, Brugge, Ostend, Ypres.
Maybe one day I'll write the whole story of our trip (atleast in russian), but it was a rare case when I had a desire to take pictures almost of everything around me!

The Fifth Contribution: Finals

It seems I'm not the most responsible person concerning blog-keeping :) Anyway, it's better late than never!
The first semester was finished already 2 months ago, I'm looking forward to the new one, new possibilities to choose and to finish some previous tasks. For these holidays I've got more confidence that I'll able to implement more difficult aims and plans, all of personal problems are behind, and the strong potential overfills me :)

The Fourth Contribution # Conclusion

Too much time has passed, the first semester's is almost finished and I'd like to sum up some general events and tasks we had during last month.
Firstly I didn't expect that the weather in Dessau would be so warm. I still can take notice of greens around and the only snow I saw here - morning frost. Actually it's the only reason of my homesick - I've missed snow.
Secondly, our studio's going well and pretty productively, we'll have the final presentation in the end of January that's why we have enough time to complete it. Honestly it's pretty difficult to be concentrated on only one project during a few months - it's getting boring and monotonous after a long period of working and drafting, changing ideas and concepts. But it promises to be accomplished by the end of the first stage of my studying here.
Thirdly - I've got a lot of tasks and notices about Grasshopper and other plugins. It'll be easier to publish here some works and surfaces + information and useful links I figured out while searching for a suitable decisions and scripts definitions.

Example of surface that inspired me.

The Third Contribution: Grasshopper

I couldn't think that I'd be so impressed by Grasshopper. After 3 days of intensive classes we learnt a lot of about algorithms and commands and the structure of plugin is so far from routine modeling and enforces to think deeply and logically. For these days we created parametric surface|attraction points, learnt more about lists properties and its function, trees etc.

International sharing

Indian brick architecture.
The international studying helps to see incredible and charming details in architecture of country you've never known before...

Rhino. Beginning.

So, my the biggest hope - that I'll able to use Rhino as a BIM tool soon. Unfortunately, it's pretty difficult to discuss about this type of advantages with others. In general, only students who're from USA|Canada are in BIM. Some guys even told me, that a person who's good in Revit is much more appreciated than others with basic 3D knowledges as an employee.
The first goal I set - to be involved in this kind of software for Rhino, at least at the level of acquaintance.

The Second Contribution: First Impressions

The second month in Dessau came pretty fast. It seems to me, Friday goes after Monday and Sunday doesn't exist at all. This day all of necessary shops are closed and you try to seek consolation in dealing with people. By the way, people're amazing.
Studying reminds me... Nothing. I wanna say, this is absolutely new and unknown atmosphere of self-working, which is suitable and comfortable for me.
We're in process of doing Rhino task now - modeling of one of Dessau quarter. Honestly I feel confused when I'm forced to think about ways of making forms in Rhino which I can make in Revit for 5 min. I grew out of a habit of modeling in other 3D programms apart from Revit and other BIM tools so much, that can't imagine how much time one or another forms will take for me.
Of course, Rhino has a lot of adds I anticipate to learn. About one of added software I'll write the next time.

The gold autumn in Dessau...
